Summit Treestands are carefully engineered to be the most silent, secure, comfortable, and concealed hunting treestands on the market. From versatile climbing treestands to adaptable tripod stands, all of our treestands are built to last. That is why you will receive a five-year warranty with any climbing treestand in the Summit lineup. All Summit stands are designed and engineered to meet or exceed standards set by the Treestands Manufacturers Association. At Summit we know what it takes to make quality products. We don’t just build ‘em, we use ‘em. We don’t build stands that we think will work; we build stands that we know will work.
Innovation
Summit has contributed many of the features of all of today’s treestands. Although we have many patents, we chose not to patent several enhancements that made ALL stands better. Some examples: the first platform with on open, light-weight structure; padded seats; arm/rifle rests; silent plastic bushings; knobs to replace wingnuts; welded backbar bolts; carbon fiber composite platforms, etc.
We robotically weld our stands. Our robotic welders never complain and they don’t miss welds. They work hard all day and they consistently produce excellent parts. We also employ the best certified manual welders available for the welds that the robots can’t reach.
Testing
We maintain an in-house testing facility. We test our stands to their absolute maximum potential, even before we send them off for the TMA Seal of Approval. This isn’t required by anyone. We do it as a part of our “engineering thoroughness” and for your peace of mind. Our testing dummy tests your harness so you don’t have to. He falls, and falls, and falls and never complains. Again, we aren’t required to test our own harnesses, but we do and that’s why they’re the best available. Concern for you safety is not only achieved through engineering, testing, certification, etc. but we have always furnished you fall protection. In fact, we led our industry by being the first to furnish a full body harness with all of our stands beginning in 2000, which was four years ahead of industry certification requirements.
You get a five-year warranty with your treestand purchase. Why? Because we’re confident with our quality. Our mechanical engineers spend countless hours designing and testing and actually using our products before they go into production. We use computer aided design or CAD in engineering. What it means to you is that accuracy, mechanical properties, structural analysis, specifications and purchasing, etc. are well defined to further assure quality products.
We’ll answer your questions. Should the need ever arise that you have to contact our customer service department, we’ll help you. Ask ANYONE who has ever dealt with our representatives and you’ll find that we’re second to none.
SummitLoktSummitLokt
Summit stands feature “Locked” construction. Our technology, called SummitLokt, uses our own custom designed extrusions to create structures that are locked first, then welded. This allows much lower stresses on the welds for a more secure system.
We use the highest-quality extruded aluminum and SummitLokt® with precision welds for absolute rigidity and maximum strength. Every joint is “locked” into place before welding and each joint is designed so the stress on the weld is minimized. The result is a noise-free stand that is strong, safe and secure. SummitLokt® is featured on all of our climbing stands and most of our non-climbers.
DeadMetalDead Metal Sound Deadening
Leave it to the Summit engineers to develop a way to reduce the metal to metal sound associated with aluminum tubing. Summit’s Dead Metal Sound Deadening Technology keeps the noise down by filling in critical parts of your platform with custom-engineered expanding foam. We know that every little bit of noise reduction goes a long way in keeping you concealed in the tree an that is why we spent years designing this stand improvement.
SummitMarkQuickDraw Cable Retention
Summit’s QuickDraw® cable retention system is an important innovation in climbing treestands. It is also the fastest and quietest cable attachment system ever invented. Once the cable is sized for the tree diameter, all you have to do is insert the cable into the QuickDraw® bracket of the suspension arm, pull the “trigger” and the cable securely locks into place. Simple. There’s no fumbling with pins, knobs, nuts or bolts – and the attachment is absolutely secure and silent. Who would hunt without it? Not us.
SummitMark1RapidClimb Stirrups
RapidClimb® Climbing Stirrups are ergonomically shaped and adjustable to fit any boot. Fast and incredibly easy to use, they are offered as a standard feature on all Summit climbing stands.
TMATreestand Manufacturer’s Association
The Treestand Manufacturer’s Association is devoted to treestand safety. It endeavors to improve treestand safety by education, mandatory use of Fall Assists Systems, certification of treestand and harness, and certification by independent testing firms. Summit is a proud, supporting member of TMA®.
